As he walked, Stillman did not look up. His eyes were permanently fixed on the pavement, as though he were searching for something. Indeed, every now and then he would stoop down, pick some object off the ground, and examine it closely, turning it over and over in his hand. It made Quinn think of an archeologist inspecting a shard at some prehistoric ruin. Occasionally, after poring over an object in this way, Stillman would toss it back onto the sidewalk. But more often than not he would open his bag and lay the object gently inside it. Then, reaching into one of his coat pockets, we would remove a red notebook-similar to Quinn's but smaller-and write in it with great concentration for a minute or two. Having completed this operation, he would return the notebook to his pocket, pick up his bag, and continue on his way.

The Opening of the South Millvale Bridge

On a frosty Monday Morning Pittsburgh denizens, community leaders, a smattering of bike youths and a few bored moochers went out to the Oakland side of the South Millvale Bridge in Pittsburgh for free Coffee and Cookies. When the Mayor finally arrived the 70 or so people applauded his smart suit and half hearted apology for being 20 minutes late. He read some facts, he introduced some people, they said some facts, the people applauded, he picked up an Andre the Giant sized pair of scissors and cut a strand of red ribbon. And suddenly I live by a viable thoroughfare. It will now be much easier to stumble home from nights spent getting bent in Oakland.
The peasants rejoice.

There’s an old school charm to Snoopy’s get-up. Glad he’s still in the lineup.

"Oh and look, he has his ball with him, isnt that nice, see?" I didnt have the heart to tell the guy that the ball represent the "Pokey-Man’s" terms of enslavement.

Father to toddler: "Hey, look, it’s Snoopy!"

This clown is pleasantly terrifying. I can see Martin Jaques having a doll-sized version of this in is home.

Father talking to his toddler: "Oh look, it’s...it’s... oh, I think that’s a cat. Yay! Look at the cat, see? Yay, cat!"

Red mouthed from the gush of a fresh kill, Ronald stalks the avenue for another child to eat.

This guy tried is very hardest to get the crowd to start chanting "U-S-A, U-S-A!", but to their credit the New York crowd was either to savvy, unpatriotic (terroristic) or sleepy to oblige.

High wire pirate antics were a definite added treat. Doing acrobatics 10 ft in the air on a lurching float makes you hott. Yes, it does.

As well made as this new addition is, the Shrek float is weird because it really needs to be 15 feet higher for you to get a good view of it. Coming down the avenue all you really saw was a specked green head.

Same thing goes for Kermit, except since the float isnt as thick, it wasnt as much on an issue.

A Dawg and his Boette

Boette came up with an idea for a movie. Goes like this... Boette plays a dog named Boette who is owned by Dawg who is played by Evan. Confused yet? Dawg's brother Id, betrays Dawg and his own wife Corrine, and is eventually saved by Dawg's dog, Boette in a dramatic end scene. Anyway, theres a rough cut up on youtube. Why don't you just see it for yourself.
For my part I helped Boette behind the camera and enjoyed hanging out in the abandoned train depot we filmed in.
Also, it was fun to see Boette jump, yelp and romp like a dog.
